SHERBURNE – Oxford won for the third time in four games in Otsenango Pony League play winning at Sherburne Monday night, 11-7.
Justin Schray paced the Oxford offense with three hits, four stolen bases, and two RBI. Seventh-graders Matt Moore and Jeff Lawton contributed three combined runs batted in.
Adam Pierson pitched 3 1-3 innings of relief for the victory, and Nathan Head tossed two scoreless innings for the save.
Mike Wilson pitched four innings of relief for Sherburne giving up one hit and striking out eight.
Oxford plays Bainbridge on Wednesday, while Sherburne is slated to host Hamilton on Thursday.
