Sidewalk Sales begin today in Norwich
NORWICH – This Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the Norwich Merchants Association is once again holding Sidewalk Sales. The streetside sales will be held in downtown Norwich along Broad Street, and there will also be informational tables from various community groups and organizations.
“It’s been about 4-5 years since we’ve done it,” said Anna McLaughlin, secretary of the Merchants Association. “This year we’ve focused more on a sense of the community of Norwich rather than just sales. We’ve tried to turn it into a festival.”
Many activities are also on schedule for the Sidewalk Sales this weekend, with the theme “Life’s a Beach.” Lily Katherine’s Bridal Shop will be hosting a fashion show on Friday, and the Chenango Piecemaker’s Guild will host a quilt show and raffle on Saturday. First Edition Bookstore will also be hosting children’s craft tables, and the Colonia Theatre is showing a NBT-sponsored matinee on Friday.
The Sidewalk Sales begin today and continue through the weekend until Saturday.
