Another washout in Guilford

GUILFORD – Sunday afternoon, the intersection at County Route 38 in the Town of Guilford was washed out by runover from a torrential downpour. The Guilford Town Clerk’s Office reported that Cty. Rt. 38 was closed Monday near the intersection of County Route 35. Portions of the road have been closed to all traffic and detour signs have been set up on adjoining streets. Currently there is no estimated time as to when the road may reopen, but crews are expected to assess the damage later today. This same area was heavily damaged in the flood of 2006.
