State Police uncover pot operation in Edmeston
EDMESTON – The New York State Police raided a home in the Town of Edmeston after an investigation by the Department of Child Protective Services led them to a residence where investigators uncovered 196 marijuana plants growing on the property.
On Aug. 11, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the New York State Police at Richfield, executed a search warrant at 5574 County Route 18 in the Town of Edmeston. Police said the warrant was the result of an investigation originally initiated by the Department of Child Protective Services.
Members of the state police and child protective case workers responded the residence of 45-year-old Timothy J. Tully and observed numerous marijuana plants growing on the property.
Additional information was obtained throughout their investigation which led to the search of the home and the seizure of an additional 196 marijuana plants, marijuana paraphernalia and numerous pieces of equipment used to grow marijuana.
Tully was charged with one count of unlawfully growing cannabis, but police said additional charges were pending.
