The lineup of musicians, arranged by Ken Millet, owner of Night Eagle Productions, includes a mix of returning and first-time performers at Colorscape.
Returning to Colorscape for the sixth year, Gandalf Murphy & The Slambovian Circus of Dreams brings music that can “heal what ails ya.”  They fumble onto stage, talk freely to the audience as if they knew you forever, tell you their names (“just so you know who’s playin’ for ya”) and then proceed to take you away.  The music is simple and relatively straight forward, very familiar yet strangely unique and transporting.  These good thieves steal freely from the music they love, all kinds of music.
Also returning to Colorscape this year are the Kennedys.  The story of Pete and Maura Kennedy’s personal and professional relationship, now in its second decade, is somewhere between fate and a fairytale. How else can you explain a chance meeting in Austin between two East Coast-born musicians that immediately sparked a song writing collaboration, a first date at Buddy Holly’s grave, an enduring romance, and a creative partnership that radiates warmth, positive energy, and captivating music?
Aztec 2 Step is making a return engagement to Colorscape following a
one-year absence.  Rex Fowler from Pittsfield, Maine, and Neal Shulman of New York City met one “open mike” night at a Boston folk club in the spring of 1971. Each impressed by the other’s talents, they joined forces and Aztec Two-Step (named for a line from “Coney Island of the Mind” by Beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti) was born.  After 30-plus years as a staple of FM radio, major label recording contracts and world-wide touring, Rex and Neal have become one of the folk music’s most popular and enduring acts. They continue to wow audiences with intelligent songwriting, hot acoustic lead guitar, and great harmonies.
Kevin McKrell, also returning after a one-year absence, has been a founding member of some very popular bands. First and foremost, Celtic group Donnybrook Fair, and his namesake band, Celtic Bluegrass band The McKrells. This singer/songerwriter has appeared on the stage of Carnegie Hall to standing ovations, and has performed at some of the top Irish, Bluegrass and Folk Festivals in the country.  His musical talents have been showcased all over the U.S. and Ireland. His songs have been recorded and performed by many groups.
New to Colorscape this year is the Caravan of Thieves.  Who are these thieves?  Stretching the parameters of acoustic swing, Caravan of Thieves has been winning immediate praise for their new and unique brand of gypsy flavored song writing and their high intensity show. The vocal harmonizing, acoustic guitar spanking husband and wife duo Fuzz and Carrie have extended their family to include fiery violinist Ben Dean and double bass madman, Brian Anderson to complete their colorful vision. Seeking inspiration from beyond the great divide, the quartet produces layers of Beatlesque vocals, driving rhythms, satirical, dramatic song writing and an overall circus of sound.
The Guy Mendilow Band is another new performer to Colorscape.  Drawing from a life lived in Israel, South Africa and Brazil, where musical collaboration cuts through ancient conflict, Israeli born musician Guy Mendilow is sowing the seeds of peace with music.  Writes the Boston Phoenix, “Mendilow is no dilettante…he learned the music of these countries by living and working there – so when he sings…he knows what he’s talking about.”
Also coming to Colorscape for the first time are The Horseflies.  One of the earliest bands to bring truly inventive ideas and energy to traditional Amercan fiddle music, The Horse Flies have created a unique sound that remains fresh, powerful and captivating. Artful original songs, a wild groove-oriented approach to fiddle music, esteemed instrumental skills, and emotive singing come together as old-time fiddle music meets alternative rock, minimalism, modern songwriting and world percussion.
Darlings of the Canadian music scene, Dala are poised to bring their harmonies and fresh brand of acoustic pop to the world.  But first, they’re coming to Colorscape.  Dala’s talent, energy, and wit have earned them a devoted following, and their soon to be released fourth album “Everyone Is Someone” is already creating an industry buzz. Keep your eyes and ears on these this incredible duo!
Times are approximate and subject to change without notice. NBT Bank, The Follett Foundation, Inc., and The Greater Norwich Foundation, Inc. sponsor the NBT Main Stage, along with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Chenango County Council of the Arts.
There is also an “African Drum Jam for Children” at the East Park Childrens’ Stage sponsored by Target Stores.  Elizabeth Orleski, Djembe Instructor and Performer, will entertain children (and adults) with African drum performances and instruction.  Also appearing at the Childrens’ Stage will be the Guy Mendilow Band.
Located on the greens of East and West Parks in the city of Norwich, Colorscape features over 90 juried artists and crafters selling their wares in an interactive atmosphere that includes artist demonstrations, literary and arts activities for all ages, student art exhibits, a competitive poetry slam and the finest in creative food.
