33rd annual Labor Day Antique Show coming to the fairgrounds Sunday

NORWICH – Treasure hunters will be drawn to the historical trove on display at the Norwich fairgrounds this Sunday, as the Chenango County Historical Society holds its 33rd annual Antiques Show.

The show is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the historical society.

“We have over 60 antique dealers coming to the show this weekend. That’s quite a bit more than we’ve had in prior years,” said Historical Society Antiques Show committee member Howard Fogel.

Antique dealers and food vendors will begin setting up their displays inside the Floral and Exhibition Halls and beneath tents in the early hours in preparation for the 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. event.

“It may not be the largest, but we certainly do our best to ensure it’s of quality. It’s not a flea market or an old junk sale,” said Fogel, explaining that some of the vendors travel hundreds of miles to exhibit at the show.
