Board approves raise for Boice
NORWICH – The Norwich City School District’s second in command will receive a raise this year, following a vote by the board of education last night.
As a result of the board’s action, Deputy Superintendent Margaret Boice will receive a 3 percent increase, which will elevate her salary to $123,540 for the 2009-10 academic year. Boice’s current contract with the district will expire in 2012.
The board voted to approve the raise by a vote of 5 to 0. Board members Sally Chirlin and Priscilla Johnson were absent from the meeting.
