Fewer high-risk sex offenders on probation

NORWICH – Fewer high-risk sex offenders are under the supervision of the Chenango County Probation Department this year, according to an annual budget report.

Five of the 14 Level II and III offenders who were under supervision last year are no longer in the department’s special sex offender treatment program. The tally is after the first two quarters of 2009 and could change as offenders continue through the legal system.
