Second book signing at Lewis’
SHERBURNE – New cookbook author George Lewis had such a great time at his first book signing, he’s planned another for tomorrow night.
Lewis, a native of Sherburne and veteran of the restaurant trade, is the author of “Cooking at the Monastery: Hommous to Tabouleh in the Garden of Allah,” a self-published tome that’s part cookbook, part history of his upbringing in Sherburne.
At the first book signing event at the family restaurant, Lewis’ on Rt. 12 in Sherburne, the author was overwhelmed by the turnout. “I wish I’d brought my tape recorder for all the stories people were telling me,” he said. “I could write another book.”
Lewis has scheduled a second book signing for Friday night at the Sherburne restaurant, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. In addition to the traditional fare, there will be light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The book sells for $22. For more information, visit georgescooking.com.
