Locals sweep at S-E Invite

SHERBURNE – At Saturday’s Sherburne-Earlville Invitational, a pair of local runners came away with top performances, and S-E’s boys were a strong third in Race One team scoring.
Bainbridge-Guilford’s Chris Burnett had the best overall time finishing the 3.1-mile course in 16:31 to lead the Bobcats to the boys’ team title with 65 total points. S-E’s Noah Huff was third in 18:01, and teammate Dan Palmiter finished in the top 15 clocking a 19:01.
On the girls’ side, Sopheia Eddy of the Marauders was the Race One overall winner clocking in with a season-best 20:54. Gabby Huff was fourth for S-E in 23:12.
