“After that quick goal, we kind of let up,” said Greene coach Rick Tallman. “Walton hung in there and pretty much outplayed us the last 15 to 20 minutes. Curtis Richards came up with two great saves where Walton probably should have scored.”

Oxford 2, Harpursville 1 (OT)
OXFORD – Oxford made the most of its shots, and avenged two losses to Harpursville earlier this season with an overtime victory on Tuesday.
Amanda Marks created a breakaway situation using her speed to beat the defense. She slipped past the Harpursville goalie, and sent a pass to Lacey Barry, who drilled in the uncontested shot two minutes into the extra session.
Harpursville, as it did in 2-1 and 4-2 wins over Oxford earlier this season, held a significant edge in shots and penalty corners.
The Blackhawks, meanwhile scored on two of their three shots. Rhiannon Begeal scored with two minutes left in the first half to lift the Blackhawks to a halftime tie. “It’s been like this all season where the shots and corners were lopsided (against us). For once we came out on the other side of that,” said Oxford coach Missy Chrystie. “Our defense is giving us a chance to win games, and our offense allowed us to win tonight.”

Crumb scored her first goal at 9:27 of the first half with an assist from Andrea Day. Day had an early second-half goal for the Trojans (6-0, 10-0), who play at Vestal Thursday.
