4-H Achievement Day: Celebrating the best of Chenango 4-H

CHENANGO COUNTY – Chenango County 4-H will honor participants this weekend at its annual 4-H Achievement Day banquet. The event, which will be a dish to pass luncheon, will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the United Church of Christ in Norwich.

The event will give 4-H’ers, leaders, volunteers and parents a chance to get together to celebrate the achievements of the past 4-H year and look forward to the coming 2009-2010 4-H project year.

Members will be rewarded for their hard work in the different 4-H project areas, home economics, public speaking, community service, and animal science at Achievement Day. They will also be awarded Leadership Awards, Overall Achievement Awards, and Awards Trips.

Seniors (14-19 years) will be awarded the Otis A. Thompson and Frank E. Skinner Leadership Awards, as well as the Warren E. Eaton and J.C. Estelow Awards, achievement awards for outstanding Project Work and Overall Accomplishments throughout ones 4-H Career.
