HAMILTON – The Palace Theater in Hamilton kicks off the new season of live family theater with “Song From the Sea” at 3 p.m. Saturday. Written by Mike Kenny, it is a spellbinding fantasy tale of Josh, a young boy who lives in a “very noisy house in a very noisy street in a very noisy city.”  Yet above all the clamor, Josh hears a mysterious, beautiful sound calling him toward the sea.  Performed in striking visual terms with puppetry and scenery, “Song From the Sea” offers an extraordinary opportunity to share a rich theatrical experience with your family.
Directed by Lauren Unbekant and performed by Syracuse University Drama students; the Syracuse Stage and Syracuse University Drama Department present the Bank of America Children’s Tour of The Song From The Sea. It is produced by special arrangement with Plays for Young Audiences, a partnership of Seattle Children’s Theatre & Children’s Theatre Company-MN.  Tickets are $5 and children two and under are free. The play is recommended for children ages 3-9.
