G-MU 4, Downsville 1
COPES CORNERS – G-MU won its fifth game of the season and second straight scoring four times in the second half against Downsville.
Kirsten Gonzalez tied the game at 29:34 after a Lauren Hill pass, and Chelsa Fitch gave G-MU (5-9) the lead four minutes later.
The Raiders added two insurance goals in the final 1:23. Miranda Hill found the upper outside netting on a long direct kick, and Miranda Hill finished the scoring with just 36 seconds left.
“The entire game, we just didn’t give up,” said G-MU coach Kristen Bradbury summing up her team’s play. “Mentally, we’re definitely playing with more confidence.”
The Raiders host Franklin Tuesday.

Unatego 3, Unadilla Valley 1
NEW BERLIN – Theresa Guardiano scored 26 seconds into the game off a Sarah Mannina pass, and Unatego used that fast start to build a two-goal halftime lead and remain unbeaten in MAC division play.
Mannina added a tally at 9:20 before UV would regroup on a Kristyn Gould goal.
Guardiano added a second goal before halftime. “That first goal really stung,” said UV coach Chris Bieniek. “We trimmed at the lead and the second half was evenly played.”
Before the game, UV seniors Allison Jones, Kara Collins, Amanda Wells, Sara Gage, Amber Bailey, Emma Conrow, and Torri French were recognized.

Kristen Witten and Dani Gravel had two goals apiece for the Warriors.
Haley Witchella tallied Oxford’s lone goal.

DAVENPORT – G-MU won its second straight one-goal shutout on Friday at Charlotte Valley.
Sophomore Greg Delaney ran onto a high-bouncing ball, and headed it in with 9:27 left in the second half.
G-MU improved to 7-5-2 overall.

Otselic Valley 1, Brookfield 0
BROOKFIELD – Otselic Valley scored in the second half to post a shutout victory on the road Friday night.
Dusty Davis connected for OV (6-3) after a Chris Neal pass in the action that ensued after a cornerkick for the game’s lone tally.
“Really, the game could have gone either way,” said OV coach Dave Loomis. “We were shorthanded for the game, but we put together a lineup that was able to get the job done.”
OV plays at Cincinnatus Wednesday.

SHERBURNE – Cooperstown did all of its scoring in the second half to snap Sherburne-Earlville’s three-game winning streak on Friday.
Brandon Lane posted a hat trick for the Redskins, who had 15 of their 22 shots over the final 40 minutes.
“We played a fantastic first half, and we limited their shots to the outside,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “We had three high quality shots that we did not capitalize on, and they just turned it up a notch in the second half.”

AFTON – Greene was a winner in all but one event in a road victory at Afton/B-G this weekend.
Jessica Brooks picked up two individual wins over the first five events to help the Trojans (7-1) set the pace.
Chelsea DeMott won the 50-yard freestyle for Afton/B-G.
