GUILFORD – Everyone has been waiting in anticipation for the Guilford Historical Society’s latest edition of the cemetery books. “From the Hills of North Guilford” is finally here!

The book on North Guilford Pioneer Cemetery features not only the database of the burials in North Guilford but, Tom Gray, Guilford Town Historian has done extensive research on the early settlers and has added much of the history of the people. Also included in the book are details of the early roads and businesses as the hamlet developed. The book fills in sections of history, before and after, that is in the “North Guilford Pioneers” book written by Josephine Thompson and Ida Palin. The “North Guilford Pioneers” book is currently being readied for reprinting by the Chenango County Historical Society, to be released at a later date.
