Boo Bash, Boo Bash, Give me your stash!
NORWICH – The Norwich Merchants Association will be inviting the patrons of Pumpkin Fest and their children to take part in the 7th annual Boo Bash Scavenger Hunt Giveaway – from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, or 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
First Edition Book Store owner Lisa Mody said local business operators have the very poplar scavenger hunt down to a science.
“It has become a regular thing and people just love it; it’s fun for the businesses and for the kids,” she said.
Hunters will visit 10 of the participating downtown stores, collecting Halloween -inspired trinkets from each. Like last year, the collected novelties must be sought in the correct order and those who successfully finish the hunt will be eligible for a prize drawing at around 2 p.m. Saturday.
At each location, contestants must also say, “Boo Bash, Boo Bash, Give me your stash!”
After collecting all of them, take your entry form to First Edition Book Store, along with all of the items, so you can be entered into the drawing for the grand prizes.
Each participating business has donated a $20 gift card and the 10 winners will receive one each from a random drawing.
Boo Bash is sponsored by 10 businesses this year, all members of the Norwich Merchants Association.
Visit them in this order to receive your prizes: Hayes Office Products, Vacation Gifts, Skillin’s Jewelers, Adventure Bikes and Boards, Arnell Music, Solstice Whole Foods & Herbs, Service Pharmacy, Village Cobbler, McLaughlin’s Department Store, First Edition Book Store.
The contest is open to children 12 years old and younger and to senior citizens only. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
