Races for council, highway in Pharsalia this year

PHARSALIA – There are two races in the Town of Pharsalia this election year, one for two seats on the town council and the other for highway superintendent.

Democrat Dennis O. Brown, 60, is running unopposed for supervisor, a position he has held since 1983 when he was appointed to fill a vacancy. He won the election for a two-year term in 1984 and has held the position ever since. Brown is vice chairman of the Chenango County Finance Committee and a member of Agriculture, Buildings & Grounds.

Clerk of the Board Susie P. Granger is also unopposed for the position she has held for 4, two-year terms.
