Crusaders complete perfect season
CORTLAND – Valley Heights Christian Academy completed a 12-0 undefeated soccer season at Starr Field in Cortland on October 31.
VHCA won the ESCAL championship game defeating Cortland Christian Academy 7-1.
Luke Halberg finished off his 46-goal senior season tallying three times in the title win.
Ryan Rose scored the first goal of the game at the 3:18 mark, and scored a second by bending a cornerkick into the goal. Justin Yoder scored his eleventh goal of the season, and Kevin Stockwell scored his first goal of the season and the team’s last goal of the season to complete the scoring.
Halberg was named the Empire State Christian Athletic League’s Most Valuable Player for the third straight year. Ryan and Reid Rose were additional selections to the All-League Team.
