County mourns loss of former Supervisors Chairman Glenn Angell

LINCKLAEN – The Chenango County Board of Supervisors observed a moment of silence this week to remember former board Chairman Glenn R. Angell, 71, who passed away on Sunday.

Town of Lincklaen Supervisor Wayne Outwater said Angell’s 30 years of public service to Lincklaen and to Chenango County would be well remembered.

The sparsely populated rural town located in the northwest corner of the county is perhaps best known for Angell’s many years of representation and contributions. The supervisor was a well respected dairy farmer and spearheaded many community projects, including the paving of Lincklaen roads and repairing of the town’s bridges during the 1990s.
