UV-E Pee Wee football program honored
The New Berlin Rotary recently recognized the Unadilla Valley-Edmeston Pee Wee footbal program, and presented volunteers with the Service Above Selff Volunteer Award. Volunteers took part in announcing games, working the yardage chains, running concessions, selling advertising for the program, and conducted fundraisers to pay for uniforms and equipment for all of the UV Pee Wee teams. The two plaques presented by the Rotary will be displayed at UV’s and Edmeston’s schools. Over 60 volunteers helped make the program a success. Pictured from the left are Casey Hoagland, UV-E Pee Wee parent from Edmeston, Spring Weidman, UV-E parent from Unadilla Valley; Jody Weidman, UV-E Pee Wee program presiden and Senior Pee Wee coach; and Mark Virtell, New Berlin Rotary President.
