UNADILLA – Police arrested a trio of suspected burglars Wednesday who allegedly broke into an Afton business to steal cigarettes and left the store only to return a short time later to steal cash in a second break-in.

New York State Police have charged 19-year-old Steven C. Barrows of Unadilla, 21-year-old Heather Wrench and 27-year-old Arnie J. Roe, both of Bainbridge, with third degree burglary.

Police said the three broke into the Afton Country Store at 30 Maple Street in the Village of Afton, in the early hours of Nov. 25.
