Clyde Cole tournament begins tonight
OXFORD – The 47th annual Clyde Cole Wrestling tournament, co-sponsored by the Oxford Rotary Club and Oxford Academy, begins tonight with preliminary matches commencing at 5 p.m. Quarterfinals will follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The local field includes teams from Oxford, Norwich, Bainbridge-Guilford-Afton, Greene, Lansing, Marathon, Unadilla Valley, Unatego, and Sidney. Strong returning contenders from outside the region are Averill Park, Farrell, Pembroke, and perennial powerhouse, Queensbury.
Semifinals on Saturday are at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 7:30 p.m.
