GREENE – Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) has canceled a planned visit to Chenango County today during which she was scheduled to meet with local business leaders to discuss economic development concerns.
The event, which was to be held this afternoon at the Raymond Corporation in Greene, was being co-sponsored by Commerce Chenango.
According to Commerce Chenango President Maureen Carpenter, approximately 15 business leaders and elected officials were scheduled to participate in the roundtable discussion. She notified those participants this morning that the event would not be taking place.
It has yet to be determined whether the event will be rescheduled.
