Greene still improving, S-E wins big league game on the road

GREENE – Greene continues to improve each time out, and a 21-point win over a talented Sidney club on Friday night was further evidence of that team growth.

“We had a bad quarter against Sidney the first time we played them, and they were able to get back in the game,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “This time, when we had a bad quarter, we still played great defense.”

The Trojans (4-2) began to shake the Warriors in the third quarter extending their lead to 10 before a dominant fourth stanza put the victory on ice.

Erin Smith bucketed 13 points, Liz Wentlent scored 12 points to go with eight rebounds, and Andrea Day added 12 points.
