Time to make our run, Patrollers! The DVD Patrol is gearing up for the Winter Olympics and what better way to do it than to do our version of the Bobsled run. Only on our version, we see how many DVDS we can grab as we going by. The Bobsled Captain, the Toddster, is all set to try and outdo the rest of the teams. We have to make sure we send out a special birthday greeting to one of our greatest fans and her name is Amy. Happy Birthday, Sis! Let’s go.

The Invention of Lying - They always say that Honesty is the Best Policy. Someone forgot to tell that to this guy. Ricky Gervais (The Office) stars in this fun comedy where he discovers that telling a lie actually gets you somewhere. Gervais plays Mark and he lives in a World where no one knowa how to lie. Mark also happens to be in the right business where what you see is not always what you get: the Movies. How far will Mark be able to go before his lies actually catch up with him? Gervais just hosted the Golden Globes and hhe did a pretty good job. Also, Gervais will be starting “The Ricky Gervais show” starting on HBO soon.
Gamer - You always want to be careful what you watch on TV because what you see may be too much and might come at too high a price. Billionaire Ken Castle (Michael C.Hall) came up with a new video game. What people don’t know is that mind control is involved. One of his top gamers named Simon (Logan Lerman) is on his way to becoming famous. What he doesn’t know is the character named Kable (Gerard Butler) that he uses is a real person and was put in jail on a trumped up charge serving a life sentence. Can Simon discover the truth and help Kable eacape the game before it’s too late? Hall returns for a fifth season of “Dexter’ next Summer on Showtime and Butler teams with Jennifer Aniston for “The Bounty Hunter” coming soon to theaters.

Whiteout - The winters in Central New York can be brutal but where this mystery happens has that beat. Kate Beckinsale stars in this murder mystery on the ice based on the Graphic Novel. Beckinsale stars as U.S Marshall Carrie Stetko. Carrie has been stationed at the Arctic Circle for 2 years and is ready to head for home. When the first murder in that part of the World happens, her plans get changed. As her investigation goes along, she finds that something that happened 60 years ago may be connected to the killer. She’s also racing the clock since it’s dark in that part of the World for six months out of the year. Can Carrie find the answers she needs before things get dark? From the archives, some of Beckinsale’s best DVDs include “Click” (with Adam Sandler), “Van Helsing” (with Hugh Jackman), and “Serendipity” (with John Cusack).
The Keeper - Action Spotlight is back and this time we’ve got Steven Seagal. Seagal stars as Roland Sallinger. Roland was a cop on the force and good at his job until he was driven out under desperate circumstances. Now he has to find a way to use his skills for something he knows. A reclusive billionaire hires him to protect his daughter. When she becomes the target of kidnappers, they picked the wrong person. Now there in the crosshairs of a man on a mission. Is Roland going to be able to save the girl? Seagal has a new one coming to DVD in February called “A Dangerous Man.” Also, Seagal has a new reality show called “Steven Seagal: Lawman” on A&E on Wednesdays at 10PM with Season 1 hitting DVD shelves soon.
Renegade - An old favorite returns to the Patrol with a new DVD set as Season 1 comes back into Stores. Stephen J Cannell (The A-Team) returns with a great action show with Lorenzo Lamas. Lamas plays Reno Raines. Raines was a good cop and went after a group of crooked cops until they found out about him and tried to take him out. As they missed him and hit the woman he loved, he gets accused of murder and goes on the run. Now not only are the cops after him, Reno has to deal with a bounty hunter named Bobby Sixkiller (Branscombe Richmond) who always gets his man. He hasn’t met Reno. Can Reno stay ahead of them? Cannell also has a big screen version of “The A-Team” coming to theaters in June. Also, some of his best shows are out on DVD this week including “21 Jumpstreet,” “Hunter,” and “Wiseguy.”

Before we go, the Patrol has just confirmed a release date for a certain Vampire movie that was just in theaters. “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will be released on March 20 and will be featured in a future patrol.
