NEW BERLIN – Once again, the Annual Oxford Lions Club’s Perch Derby at Chenango Lake was a rousing success. Thanks go to all the donating sponsors and the volunteers who make the event possible. The results and winners:

Largest Perch – 13.5” – Dustin Thall ($150 prize donated by Mayhood’s Sporting Goods); Largest Pickerel – 3-way tie – 23 7/8”--Lenny Edwards, Angelo Mirabito, Dave Edwards ($150 prize donated by Dr. Richard Polgar, Oneonta); Largest Crappie – 12” – Cole Kinsey; Largest Rock Bass – 9.5” Matt Fletcher; Largest Sunfish – 10.75” – Ed Rickert Jr.

No tagged perch was caught so the $1,000 prize donated by NBT Bank was given away in drawing for 6 prizes: $500 – Thomas Dodd, Afton; $250 – Matt Fletcher, Binghamton; $100 – Noah Trewer, Winfield; $75 – Robert Gould, Norwich; $50 – John Plows, Sr., West Edmeston; $25 – Tom Pedersen, Whitesboro. Average length of perch caught for 15 minute prizes was 11.85”.
