BAINBRIDGE – Oxford’s boys, already with a Midstate Athletic Conference basketball title in the books for 2010, added the varsity volleyball title this past weekend defeating Greene in the finals at Bainbridge-Guilford High School.

Coming out of pool play with just one loss (27-26 to Greene), Oxford’s record was good enough to place it among the final four playoff teams. In the semifinals, the Blackhawks defeated Unadilla Valley 25-21, 25-12, then avenged their lone setback sweeping two games from the Trojans, 27-26, 25-8, to bring home the title.
