Oxford Rotary’s Easter Egg Hunt moves indoors Saturday

OXFORD – What bounces up and down, wears running shoes, and loves hunting for surprises? The answer … kids who love the Oxford Rotary’s annual Easter Egg Hunt! Today, the Rotary Club will meet at the Clachan Coffee House to get things ready for those dedicated egg hunters. They’ll be filling hundreds of Easter eggs with candy and surprises during their meeting in preparation for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.
New Location: On Saturday, the Oxford Rotary’s 7th annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held indoors in the Oxford High School gymnasium. Early that morning, Rotary members or “Easter bunny assistants” like president Sandy Dain, Kathy Anderson, Sandy Phetteplace and Maria Landau will hide brilliantly colored eggs all over the school’s gym. All children in Pre-School thru 4th Grade are invited to attend, for free. Children need to come prepared with their own bags or pretty Easter baskets. The Egg Hunt will begin at 11 a.m. and will most likely end in minutes. Just finding eggs is not the end though; that’s when the mad “scramble” search for wonderful prize tickets ($5 gift certificates to Hoppie’s), begins.
Parents, be sure to bring your cameras as the little ones will look forward to a visit from the Easter Bunny.
