BAINBRIDGE – Bainbridge-Guilford won for the third time in four matches this season shutting out Delhi on Wednesday.
Lennart Seidel remained unbeaten at first singles winning both sets at 6-0, and second doubles team, Joe Flanagin and Dustin Leib, earned their first varsity win outlasting Joe Harris and Zach Fogle in three sets.
B-G is at Walton today.

OWEGO – Norwich, competing against STAC opposition for the first time since the 2001 season, had a win from a pair of seventh-graders to highlight Wednesday’s season-opening matchup.
Alexander Stewart and Matt Craig rallied from 4-1 down in the first set to prevail, 6-4, 6-4 over the Indians’ Josh Fisher and Mike Steidle. “We were competitive in some areas, and other areas we struggled,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “We’re going to improve, and to have two seventh-graders win their first match off the bat, it’s pretty exciting.”
Norwich faces Johnson City on Friday.

DELHI – Ryan Jacobs and Taylor Anderson were the lone UV linksters to break 50 in a loss to Delhi Wednesday afternoon.
Jacobs led the way with a 44, and Anderson carded a 49.
Zach Newkerk and Joe Bolger paced the Bulldogs with matching 42s. UV’s mark fell to 1-1 on the season.

Track and Field

S-E splits three-way meet
MORRISVILLE – In a three-way meet with Remsen and host Morrisville-Eaton, S-E’s boys defeated Remsen, 99-34, but fell to M-E, 80-59.
Noah Huff was a three-event winner for the Marauders taking the 1,600 meters in 4:54, the 3,200 meters in 10:32, while also running a leg in the winning 3,200-meter relay.
S-E swept the top three spots in the 800 meters headed by Dan Palmiter (2:20), and Steve Cook led a top-three sweep in the pole vault clearing 7-foot-6-inches.
On the girls’ side Sopheia Eddy won the 3,000 meters, Amanda Clark took the pole vault, and Kristi Vibbard won the shot put with a toss of 25-feet-5-inches. S-E’s girls lost 106-34 and 90-43 to Remsen and M-E respectively.
