Chenango Forks 12, Norwich 4

NORWICH – Chenango Forks got off the bus ready to hit Norwich pitching on Monday. The Blue Devils scored all 12 of their runs in the opening four innings to claim a STAC victory over the Tornado batsmen.

“They’re a very good hitting club, and I was very impressed with their patience at the plate,” said Norwich coach John Martinson. “They were hitting ‘their’ pitches, and we struggled against Dybas (Tom).”

While his offense was churning, Dybas logged five innings for the win. He struck out six and allowed just two Norwich hits.

D.J. Smith topped the Forks offense with a home run, a triple, and two RBI.
