Morrone sworn in at Norwich School Board meeting
NORWICH – Tom Morrone was sworn in as the newest member of the Norwich City School District’s board of education Wednesday night. Pictured with School Board President Bob Patterson, Morrone was seated shortly after the meeting was called to order. The life-long Norwich resident received 545 votes in Tuesday’s election to secure a 1-year term on the board previously held by Bill Loomis. As the seat had been filled by appointment, Morrone began his term immediately. Dr. Linda Horovitz and Heather Collier, who received 698 and 642 votes respectively to secure the two vacant three-year terms on the board, will take office on July 1.
