Greene Chamber hosts 15th Annual Golf Classic
GREENE – The Greater Greene Chamber of Commerce will host their 15th Annual Golf Classic on Wednesday, June 9 at the Genegantslet Golf Club.
GGCC Executive Director Stefanie Hartman described the event as a day of networking and fun.
In addition to 18 holes of golf on the picturesque river-side course, “the day includes cash prizes, door prizes, a grill lunch, and a chicken barbecue served at the awards dinner,” she said.
The captain and crew tournament will begin at noon on June 9 with a shotgun start, and be followed at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and an awards presentation.
The cost per golfer is $65 per person, or $50 for Genegantslet Golf Club members. The entry fee covers not only green fees and cart rental, but also includes lunch and a chicken barbecue following the tournament.
Golfers should arrive before noon so they have time to enjoy lunch before they tee off.
Cash prizes will be awarded for first and second place in each of three categories: Men, women and mixed teams. Prizes are also awarded for closest to pin, and participants will have a chance to win a number of door prizes and raffles.
