NORWICH – The Chenango SPCA (CSPCA)’s ‘Who is your ‘FURever Friend?’ online pet photo contest started June 1. This is an opportunity for pet owners to show off their favorite pictures of their companion animal-all while helping homeless animals in Chenango County.
The photo contest went live June 1 and the link can be found at www.chenangospca.org. Upload your photo and some fun facts about your furry friend. Photos may contain one or multiple animals but no humans.
Once entered, just ask family, friends and co-workers to vote for your pet & don’t forget to post it on your favorite social networking sites. Each vote is $1 with a minimum purchase of 5 votes. The pet photo with the most votes will be our Grand Prize Winner. Your pet’s photo will also automatically be entered in our “Best in Show” category, where staff and volunteers will pick their favorite entry. The Editor’s Choice winner will be selected by a panel of Chenango SPCA employees and volunteers. All winners will be featured on our website and in our newsletter.
 All proceeds from the contest will help Chenango SPCA provide care, compassion and respect for the hundreds of animals that are rescued and sheltered each year.
Grand Prize includes a custom Engraved Glass Sun catcher or Vase of Your Pet by Artist David Frye, a Gift Certificate to The Houndstooth Bakery and Boutique,
Two Tickets to the 7th Annual Valentine Fur Ball in February 2011 and more.
The contest ends at midnight on Tuesday, July 20. All winners will be announced by July 26.
