Milford Academy legends dinner and golf tournament slated

PLYMOUTH – Canasawacta Country Club will host the Milford Academy Legends Dinner and Golf Tournament, Thursday, June 24.

Among those expect to play in the tournament are NFL players Shonn Greene (New York Jets), Terrance Knighton (Jacksonville Jaguars), and Niko Koutouvides (Tampa Bay Buccaneers), all of whom played football at Milford Academy.

The golf tournament is a fundraiser for the Chenango Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, said Terry Potter of Millennia Entertainment, who is promoting the fundraiser. “People ask me if Shonn Greene really is going to be there,” Potter said. “He is going to be there, and we’re hoping this evolves into a yearly sports celebrity event.”
