NORWICH – Oxford-Norwich’s American Legion baseball season gave up just one run in winning its opening two games of the season.

Last Friday, Caleb Brown took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, and finished with a one-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Sidney Unatego. Tuesday, Christian Hotaling, Mackay Hotaling, and Justin Lindenthaler combined to allow just two hits in an 11-1 rout of Oneonta.

“The two games we played were mistake-free,” said Oxford-Norwich coach Ken Law. “We had very good pitching and timely hitting. Caleb definitely had command of his pitches on Friday. He pretty much called his own game, and he threw strikes.”
