State Ed launches probe into Norwich test
NORWICH – The New York State Education Department is investigating an incident regarding the administration of a state assessment exam at the Norwich City School District, according to the district’s top administrator.
Superintendent Gerard O’Sullivan reported Wednesday that one of the tests administered as part of the annual state assessment had been called into question, although he would not provide detail as to the nature of the offense.
“State ED is currently running an investigation,” O’Sullivan reported, explaining that the district itself had notified the state agency as obligated as soon as the problem had been identified.
