SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Elementary School fifth and sixth graders will perform Annie Jr. at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday in the Otselic Valley Elementary Gymnasium in Georgetown. Based on the book by Thomas Meehan, this classic rags to riches tale features Emily Comfort and Ella Costa as “little orphan” Annie, Lucas Heintz as Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks, Bethany Prince-Rood as Grace Farrell and Marianne Jones as Miss Hannigan.

Producer and Director Lori Youngs stated the Annie Jr. production is a step up to the junior level from the kids level with a 90 minute running time, as compared to the 50 minute running time the fifth and sixth graders are used to.

“It’s a big step up and the kids worked really hard,” said Youngs. “What’s unique about this play is that it’s very student-oriented and student-driven.”
