Unadilla Valley 11, Schenevus 3

NEW BERLIN – Brandon Miles shook off a shaky opening inning and allowed just one hit in six innings pitched as Unadilla Valley won its opening game in the Otsenango Pony League.

Brett Smith was 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Josh Rutherford smacked a three-run double as part of a five-run sixth inning allowing UV to pull away. Dakota Kolvik had an RBI double in the win, and Miles finished 2-for-5 at the plate to help his own cause.
