NEW BERLIN – Brandon Miles pitched a one-hit shutout for Unadilla Valley One’s Otsenango Pony League team as the visiting club improved its record to 3-0 on the season.
Miles scored in the first inning after singling – one of four UV hits – and scoring on the passed ball. Josh Rutherford singled, and he scored after a double by Dakota Kolvik. Brett Smith also had a double for UV.
Miles struck out 15 in the win and gave up a single in the fifth. UV also had just one error in the game.

EDMESTON – Norwich scored 10 runs in its opening at-bat to cruise to a road victory over Edmeston on Thursday.
Edmeston coach, Barrett Hawes, said that Norwich used several hits combined with walks and errors by his team to accumulate the early offense.
Cameron Prime had three hits for Norwich including a double and a triple. Colby Griffin tripled for Norwich and Cody Barnes had a double in the victory.
Prime picked up the victory.
