Mets takes Norwich-Oxford Little League title
The Mets, sponsored by Christman Motors of Norwich, recently captured their second straight Oxford-Norwich Little League title beating the Braves of Oxford in eight innings. The two clubs split their two regular season meetings, said head coach Tim Thompson, and two years ago, it was the Braves who beat the Mets for the championship. “It was the rubber match of all rubber matches,” Thompson said. Also coaching for the Mets this year were Tom Porack, Randy Manwarren, and Johnny Vinal. Tom Morrone, back right, represented Christman Motors. (Submitted Photo)
