Norwich Tea Party Rally this Saturday

NORWICH – The Norwich Tea Party Patriots will be holding an important rally on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the East Side Park near the gazebo in downtown Norwich. This is right across State Route 12 from the Chenango County Courthouse.
The theme for Saturday’s rally is “Remember in November: America Speaks”. Gilda Ward from Mt. Upton, spokesperson for the group explained: “This November will be one of the most important elections in our lifetime, I believe. There are over 30 offices coming up for vote. This is historic, since we have not had this many offices coming up for re-election since the 1930s. This will be the chance for Americans to have their say. Those elected representatives who have failed to listen to their constituents need to be voted out of office. We need to begin now by checking out the candidates and choosing wisely on Primary Day, Sept. 14. and Election Day on Nov. 2. We will have voter registration forms at our rally for those who need to register.”
Featured speakers for the rally include a representative of Tikanii, Emergency Preparedness Company, who will bring a large display of emergency preparedness items and will give an expert presentation on how to be prepared for any type of emergency. James Trainor, who is an allied attorney for the Alliance Defense Fund, will also be speaking at the early part of the rally.
Ward stated, “We never know when some emergency event could occur that would catch us unaware. It could be a natural disaster like a hurricane or a flood like our area saw back in 2006, or it could be a man-made event like a terrorist attack. We need to prepare ourselves and our family for an emergency event before it happens.”
James Sacco, a Constitutional lawyer, will discuss current happenings in our nation and how they relate to our Constitution. Ward added: “James Sacco is an inspirational patriotic speaker. He not only informs us about the Constitution, but he also fires up our patriotic spirit.”
Ray Chaney will be not only speaking, but will bring his patriotic display, as well. There will be several other great speakers along with music, refreshments, and information on current legislation that affects us all.
All patriots are welcome to attend and bring a friend. Posters, flags and chairs welcome and encouraged.
