Sue Foley & Peter Karp Band on stage at EOH Saturday

EARLVILLE – In tough times, the Blues are a national resource for fighting our troubles with creativity, humor and good times. One band that is fighting the blues with the blues this summer is the Sue Foley & Peter Karp Band who bring their “He Said/ She Said” tour to the historic Opera House main stage on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 8 p.m. Their 4-piece electric band will rock the blues! Sue Foley and Peter Karp’s He Said/She Said concert is generously sponsored by Dr. William Graber and by media sponsor WAER-FM.

“He Said/ She Said” is an extraordinarily romantic Blues show that is a collaboration of two of Blues’ gifted talents Sue Foley and Peter Karp.  He Said-She Said came together when the two began sharing letters and eventually progressed into their new collaborative CD on Blind Pig Records. HE is Peter Karp, a master songsmith with an art for spinning true-to-life emotions, humor, and candor. SHE is Sue Foley, considered to be one of the finest blues/roots artists working today with a Juno (Canadian Grammy) under her belt for her recent CD Love Coming Down.

The music encompasses elements of folk, flamenco, and blues, resulting in a show that is moving, literate, romantic, rocking and exciting. “But their strong point is the smart, sassy, sexy interplay around the “He Said She Said” theme, and the songs from this intelligent and inventive concept album that revolves around the relationship between the sexes.
