Milford rolls to opening win

NEW BERLIN – Milford Academy raced to 42-0 halftime lead, and blew out visiting Gallaca College of New Jersey in the Falcons’ opening game Saturday.
Exavier Edwards of California had six rushes for 44 yards and two scores. Donte Dotson, headed to East Carolina next season, had 50 yards rushing and 45 yards receiving including one score. Quarterbacks Pierre Narcisse and Michael Gallo combined for 212 passing yards, and each had two scoring tosses. “We looked good, especially for our first game,” said Milford Academy coach Bill Chaplick, whose club racked up 444 total yards of offense.
Myles Davis, a linebacker headed to Syracuse next year, had five solo tackles, three for losses. Chaplick was also impressed with New York City product Jeremiah Kobena, also headed to Syracuse. “(Kobena) was flying everywhere on special teams,” Chaplick said. “Kobena and Davis are two of the better kids I’ve seen in a while. Davis is a different kind of player.”
Isaiah McLain added 50 yards rushing for the Falcons, who play at Lehigh a week from Sunday.
