Unison employees collect Tools for Schools

NORWICH – The Unison Women’s Network is collecting school supplies for Chenango County’s elementary, middle and high school students.
According to Debbie Bennett of Unison, items of need include crayons, erasers, #2 pencils, pens, sticky notes, index cards, 3-ring binders, colored pencils, notebooks, dry erase markers, wide rule loose leaf paper, glue sticks, pencil/crayon boxes, pencil bags and backpacks.
The collection, called Tools for Schools, will run through September 1. In addition to collection boxes at Unison, Kerry BioScience and the Norwich Pennysaver offices, the organizers will also hold a drive from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 28 at Unison.
Monetary donations are also welcome, according to Bennett. Anyone wishing to donate should contact Amy Root at 335-5305.
