Mum's the word: Sale supports All Animals Matter
OXFORD – For pet lover Diane Troxell, all animals really do matter. Hence the name of the volunteer not-for-profit she heads - All Animals Matter, Inc. – which is dedicated to spaying and neutering dogs and cats.
“All of our funds go to help animals; we pay no salaries,” said Troxell, who started the group in May of 2009. To date, the organization has helped many animals get spayed and neutered through its TNR (trap neuter release) program. It also helps cover medical bills for both owned and homeless pets, she explained.
All Animals Matter is currently holding its 2nd Annual Mum Sale in conjunction with Pires Flower Basket in Norwich. According to Troxell, 8” mums are available in a variety of colors both at Pires and Gallery Three-Two-One in Oxford. Prices are one for $6; three for $16; and six for $30. Delivery is available.
“Be sure to mention All Animals Matter when purchasing your mums,” reminded Troxell. The sale will continue through the end of September, unless they sell out prior to that, she added.
According to Troxell, All Animals Matter is looking for volunteers and members.
“We meet once a month and do several fundraisers a year,” she said.
