Late field goal gives Army win over Milford Academy

WEST POINT – Army Prep connected on a short field with 24 seconds left to pull out a 54-53 victory over Milford Academy last weekend.
The win for the Cadets offset a six-touchdown pass performance by the Falcons’ Pierre Narcisse. Narcisse three three TD passes to Alonzo Russell covering 30, 40, and 30 yards, two TD passes to Marquel Wade of 45 and 25 yards, and 53-yard TD pass to Donte Dotson. Wade also had a 93-yard kickoff return for touchdown.
University of Miami recruit, Oscar Diaz, put Milford in front 53-51 with two minutes remaining hitting a 35-yard field goal.
After Army took the lead, Diaz had one more field goal attempt from 60 yards that he left a yard short, said Milford coach Bill Chaplick. Army was flagged for a running-into-the-kicker penalty on the attempt moving the ball forward five yards. Diaz never got the 55-yard attempt off as the hold on the subsequent snap was mishandled.
