NEW BERLIN – Walton dealt Unadilla Valley its first Midstate Athletic Conference loss on Wednesday scoring the last two goals in a comeback victory.
After Molly McGuire tied the game for the Warriors, Hunter Browne scored the game-winning tally with just 4:48 remaining.
Unadilla Valley led 1-0 on Taylor Davis’ goal, and re-took the lead early in the second half after Emily Hutchinson’s goal.
The Storm (5-1, 7-3) play at Greene on Friday.

GREENE ≠– Greene rebounded from its first loss of the season with a convincing home victory over Bainbridge-Guilford Wednesday.
Six different Greene players scored goals in the win. Evan Moxley, Mikki Brown, and Alex Driscoll all had at least one goal and one assist. Alex Leone, Cody Shapley, and Brian Hebbard also found the B-G net.
“Our goal was to produce more quality shots with possession, and it definitely worked tonight,” said Greene coach Rick Tallman. “Tonight, we played well and got a little bit of our chemistry back.”
Greene hosts Maine-Endwell tonight in the first round of its tournament

WINDSOR – After a scoreless first half, Windsor broke up the scoreless game 16 minutes into the second half, and added an insurance tally with eight minutes remaining against the Tornado’s advancing lineup Wednesday.
Spencer Nagle’s pass on a cornerkick reached Hunter Farr, who netted the opening goal. Norwich’s lineup was pushed up late in the game in an attempt to score the tying goal, and Windsor capitalized getting behind the Tornado defense. Kevin Saar added the second goal heading in Noah Jones’ pass.
“We had our opportunities, it’s just tough when you can’t score,” said Norwich coach John McCumiskey.

Nino Magro opened the scoring for the Marauders just 2:18 into the game getting a feed from sophomore Carter Cole. Cole added two more goals, and Dan Stanton added a tally. “We’re getting all of our guys back, and we’re hoping to build back the chemistry the way we started the season,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez.

SAUQUOIT – Sherburne-Earlville’s boys defeated West Canada Valley, yet fell to Sauquoit Valley and Hamilton in a Center State Conference cross country meet on Wednesday.
Dan Palmiter led the S-E boys timing 19:35 over the 3.1-mile course.
S-E’s girls picked up wins over Hamilton and West Canada Valley led by by Sofeia Eddy, who timed 22:08.
The Marauders host their annual invitational on Saturday with the varsity boys starting at 10:30 a.m. and the varsity girls at 11 a.m.

“It was a little more competitive (than the first time we played them) and we’ve had a long layoff,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “It was still a good match for us to not give up a set.”
Bryn Loomis, Sophie Stewart, Jessica Lerner, and Reva Seager all won in straight sets in singles. Sisters Kristi and Katie Orioli took the first doubles matchup; Emily Stewart and Alyssa Stagliano captured the second doubles battle, and Shaniqua Yaccarino paired with Gina Mecceriello at third doubles for a victory.

GREENE – Greene won the final three events and took four overall wins in a non-league loss to Chenango Forks on Wednesday.
Jessica Brooks had three overall victories for the Trojans taking the 200-yard individual medley, the 100-yard backstroke, while also swimming a leg on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay. The Trojans’ Shelby Stoppkotte added a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke.
“I was very happy with the times we swam tonight, and to win four events against Chenango Forks is quite an accomplishment,” said Greene coach Mike Platta. “We’re right where we want to be, and we should be competitive the last five meets of the season.”
Greene is at Elmira on Saturday.
