New Berlin Art Forum presents "First Class"

NEW BERLIN – For your enjoyment “First Class” is bringing Great Band Sounds to the stage at the Unadilla Valley Central School Auditorium Saturday, Nov. 6, 7 p.m.
With strong solos and solid vocals this great sounding group of musicians will have you singing along or dancing in the aisles. First Class is a band with diversity, unique styles and a variety of influences that allow them incredible flexibility. A favorite of many in the area this band knows how to get every member of the crowd involved with their huge repertoire that includes Rock, Pop, Swing, Big Band, Jazz, Blues, Latin, Disco, Ethnic, Ballroom and Broadway arrangements.
The two founding members of “First Class”, Mark Sands, Lead Vocalist, Drums and Violin and Paul Greenberg on Keyboard are both originally from Long Island and have been performing together locally since 1992. They are joined by Matt Maholchic, Guitar, Vocals and Drum; Bill Pomares, Sax and Clarinet and Gary Solomon, Trumpet, Vocals, and Accessory Percussion. The current group has been performing together since 2002 and can be heard often at one of their many summer concerts throughout the Central New York area including Unadilla, Gilbertsville, Norwich, Colesville, Hamilton, Bainbridge, Oneonta, Sidney, Sherburne, Sherrill and Cooperstown.
Individual performance tickets will be available at a cost of $10 each for non-members at the New Berlin Library and Service Pharmacy in New Berlin, Chenango County Council of the Arts on West Main in Norwich and at the door the evening of the performance. Refreshments will be available.
Raffle tickets will also be available at this and each performance. First Prize is an Eastern Travel Gift Certificate ($200). Second Prize is a Fenimore Art Museum Family Membership ($80 Value including admission to The Farmers’ Museum) and Third Prize is a New Berlin Art Forum 2011- 2012 Family Membership ($60 Value). Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
