Gladding Braided Products expands manufacturing operations with new plant addition
SOUTH OTSELIC – Gladding Braided Products is expanding and adding approximately 10,000 square of manufacturing space to its existing 85,000 sq. foot factory. The ground breaking took place in July 2010 and is scheduled to be completed soon.
Gladding, known nationally as one of the leading textile braid manufacturers in the United States, expanded their product offerings last year and are now also serving the wire industry. “The decision to expand into wire was easy. We can use our extensive braiding experience and production methods, and with some small changes in process, produce wire products. Our manufacturing staff is very flexible and have been cross-trained to accommodate each product line” said Gladding Company President, Sparky Christakos. Mike Radziwon, VP of Textiles, also added “Wire braiding is very complimentary business to our existing textile lines. It’s natural for our machinery and employees’ experties.”
Gladding also manufactures texitle braiding machines. Gladding will continue to expand on their capabilites while maintaining focus on there established textile production. “This is a very exciting time for Gladding and all of our employees to be thriving in the current economic climate” stated Christakos.
