Milford Academy finishes strong

NORWICH – Milford Academy racked up over 500 yards of total offense, and cruised to a 51-9 victory over the Canadian All-Stars in its final football game of the 2010 season last weekend in Norwich.
The Falcons (11-1) matched their best record since coming to New Berlin in 2004, and are 67-16 overall during that seven-season time span.
Tavon Henley rushed for 68 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, and Isaiah McClean had 76 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Quarterback Pierre Narcisse was 7-for-9 for 183 yards and two touchdown passes, and Marquel Wade was named the offensive player the game based on his 128 receiving yards and one touchdown reception. Tight end Joshua Gross also caught a two-yard touchdown pass from Narcisse.
“We’re playing better than I thought we would be, we are just real good now,” said Milford Academy coach Bill Chaplick, who was disappointed the season came to an end. “We were in fifth gear and running smooth.”
